My Story:

I feel as though I have a missing puzzle piece to my identity. You wonder who you look like, what's in store for me medically and something as simple as what nationality am I? I'm sure my birthmother put me in a location where she knew I'd be found and for that I am very grateful. I have had a happy childhood/adult life with wonderful adopted parents. I have children of my own, and I know what that love means, which I think is why I search. Just to know my beginnings and "who" I am.

Please for those who keep searching, continue! Abandoned babies have so many additional feelings to deal with. I know that even before I knew I was abandoned that I always had a sense of abandonment and a fear of it. Isn't that strange? Please know that there are many of us struggling with this journey and we are all in it together. Share your struggles and frustrations with others that have experienced the same. We are the ones who understand completely. And last, never give up. It may take months, it may take years. Or we may never know, but there will always be someone to understand and encourage.
