Janet Keall doesn’t know where she was born. She doesn’t know exactly when either.
Sound familiar?
Janet was a few hours old when she was abandoned at birth in a small town in Northern British Columbia, Canada. Like many with the same beginning in life, she has longed and searched for answers to her existence for over two decades.
This personal pursuit of Janet’s has blossomed into a life long commitment and devotion to help other abandonee’s cope with and heal from their beginning in life, and the struggles associated with their unknown. In doing so, Janet believes open communication, honesty and awareness are the only way to achieve this. These beliefs are the very essence of the Keall Foundation.
Now in her late twenties, Janet envisions the Keall Foundation community to flourish and hold these same ideals of openness, honesty, caring, respect and awareness. She aims to bring these qualities to all people, religions, cultures and facets in life surrounding this very intimate and sensitive issue.
Regarding her work on founding the Keall Foundation, Janet has said “Once I had the great fortune of communicating with an abandoned person, it was like looking in the mirror. These lifelong mysterious emotions suddenly turned relatable and true. Instantly it healed my loneliness and alienated feelings I held so strong. I knew I had to share this with the world.” |
